A wonderfully grainy leather, softened over the years but still stands up empty, (see Photo Gallery below).
No wear, the corners are excellent, as is inking with just some minor crackling to the edges of the shoulder straps.
A small scuff to the front LH side and one to the lower RH side panel, there are some lighter spots on the top flap from the pressure of the firm handle bases.
A finish which relaxes with use, the upper reverse RH corner shows some paling to the colouration from friction which can also be more subtley noted throughout the bag, at contact points. This creates a lovely two tone, ombre effect that compliments this Bayswaters vintage style marvellously.
A fabulously striated base, there is a small round patch to the reverse which appears darker in tone. Much less noticable to the naked eye than the photos make it look, I have captured from side angles to pronounce.
Hardware is bright and shiny with scratching to the Postmans lock plate, turnlock end and friction rubbing between the underside plates.
Clean, self lined, ruffled suede interior with a side zipped section and two slip pockets.
