Very similar in size and shape to the Kensington, the Brompton is a beautiful and classic Mulberry from one of their finest design eras.
The Kenya leather is nicely softened and deepened in tone with a wonderful seasoning and patination throughout.
Always much lovelier when aged, this leather with continue to grow more beautiful with use.
Corners are darkened, stitching is all strong and hardware is aged with friction under lockplates and scratching to the turnlock end.
Shoulder straps are slightly softened but not creased or darkened, but the main reason why this lovely bag has just missed a Good Used rating is the degraded inking, which often occurs on older Mulberrys. This egding becomes sticky and ideally requires renewal from Mulberry, (cost is usually around £25-£30)
The interior is lined in clean, chocolate Mulberry tree silk repeat fabric with three sections, the middle one being zip secured.
If you like your Mulberry with oodles of character then this may just be the perfect bag for you.
