A wonderfully softened hide, with a very attractively spaced print, its colour consistent, thick and robust with that wonderful, heady leather aroma you only get on the older models.
A proper work-horse bag, corners are unworn, inking is all very good, (just a little dry to handle bases) and there is just the very vaguest water patination to the reverse-upper, on the surface of the leather, (see close up in Photo Gallery below)
Straps are very slightly softened but still well shaped and have a wonderfully generous drop of 17cm (the older models were easier to wear on the shoulder)
Hardware shows scratching, in particular to the turnlock end and the interior is clean, unlined suede displaying some natural aging to the interior of the top flap.
The older models of Bayswaters had the badge and disc at the front side of the interior.
