New Protocols for Selling and Buying at the Nest during Covid-19

What's a 'Protocol'?

"The system of rules and acceptable behaviour that people or organisations should follow in a certain situation"

Well, we do have a bit of a 'situation' at the moment, don't we! 

So, in order for the Nest to continue trading in the safest way possible I've put together some guidance for Selling and Buying, which I hope will help reduce potential transmission risks and keep us all well.

Trust, which is and always has been the bedrock of the Nest's business principles, remains the key, more than ever..... but by adhering to these Ground Rules and minimising the risks it should ultimately allow us all to remain fit, healthy and able to enjoy our handbags!

Sending Items into the Nest

  • If you, or any member of your household are self isolating, have tested Positive for or suffering from Covid-19 symptoms, please wait for 7 days after full recovery / notification, before sending any item into the Nest.
  • Items must be thoroughly cleaned prior to packaging. Do not use disinfectant or any cleaning products with alcohol or bleach. See here > How to Prepare an Item for Resale
  • Please wait 12 hours after cleaning your item before packing for dispatch.
  • Only use tissue paper or fabric to protect and pad your item(s). If you use bubblewrap or plastic, please let me know as this increases 'quarantine' time for the parcel.
  • Please pack your item a minimum of 12 hours before dispatch.
  • On receipt, the exterior of your parcel will be wiped down with an Antiviral Surface Cleanser and then quarantined in a secure, indoor storeroom for 24 hours before being opened.
  • When unpacked, all internal packaging will be disposed of.
  • Your item will then be thorough cleansed with Leather Wipes and left to stand for 12 hours.
  • All other aspects of the Consignment Process remain unchanged.

Purchasing from the Nest

  • If you, or any member of your household are self isolating, have tested Positive for or suffering from Covid-19 symptoms, please wait for 7 days after full recovery / notification, before purchasing from the Nest, (as in the event you wish to Return the item, there will be potential delay to Refund timescales).
  • Sadly, due to the impact of the pandemic on transit time, overseas shipping is currently suspended.
  • Items may only be purchased via the online website via Credit/Debit Card (via PayPal) or Bank Transfer. 
  • If Bank Transfer is selected at Checkout, payment must be received within 10 minutes of order placement.
  • Dispatch of the item may be delayed by up to 24 hours from purchase date.
  • Though the Post Office and Courier services are making every effort to meet Next Day Delivery timescales, this is not currently guaranteed.
  • On receipt of your parcel, please immediately wipe down exterior and quarantine in a secure indoor space for a minimum of 12 hours before opening. Do not leave your item on the doorstep or outside due to risk of theft or damage.
  • On unpacking, please examine the item thoroughly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Do not apply any cleaning or care products to the item until the Security Tag is removed.

Returns

  • If you wish to the Return an item, please carefully repack as soon as is possible, using original tissue wrap and seal the outer box, ready for dispatch.
  • If you, or any member of your household are self isolating, test positive for the virus or developed symptoms during the period in which you have received your purchase, please advise me via email and special Extended Return Instructions will be provided.
  • On receipt of the item the exterior of the parcel will be wiped down with an Antiviral Surface Cleanser and then quarantined in a secure, indoor store room for a minimum of 24 hours before being opened.
  • When unpacked, all internal packaging will be disposed of.
  • The item will then be thorough re-cleansed with Leather Wipes and left to stand for 12 hours.
  • Refunds will be processed by the Nest within 48 hours of receipt via the original payment method though please remember some payment providers can take up to 14 days to pass your funds back to your account.
  • Refunds are less original Postage Cost.
  • The Nest does not charge any fees for Returns however Paypal charge you 3% of the original transaction amount. The Nest is currently subsidising this to 2% for clients.

All other aspects of the Nest's Terms & Conditions remain unchanged, but as with everything during this time, please be patient as we're all learning as-we-go
