This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Medium Lily in Oak Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather with Shiny Gold Hardware.

The larger of the standard Lilys crafted from a thick yet supple, richly seasoned, caramel oak NVT (Natural Vegetable Tanned) hide.

Robust and characterful, this one is particurly 'dense', so wonderfully thick and solid, but the form has relaxed with use creating a supple and nicely slouchy silhouette.

A richly seasoned, cognac tone, this leather has now been sadly discontinued by Mulberry.

Details-

No wear to the leather, just lots of lovely natural striations and few light fingernail scuffs which form a part of the inherent (and very attractive) nature of vegetable tanned leather.

Some gentle patina to the front, upper RH side of the flap, the Postmans Lock Plate displays a few light scratches and there are contact friction scratches and minor dulling to the two underside plates. 

The interwoven leather and chain strap is very good, without darkening or wear.

Inking (edge sealent) in place with the commonly seen flex cracks to the two sides of the flap where it joins the rear aperture.

The reason for the * rating is due to the fact the previous owner removed the 'gusset' stitches at each top side of the bag. These stitches cinch the side panels in to give the gathered shape. When not present this create a more trapezoid silhouette and though a purely decorative feature their absence leaves the two needle holes on each side, (see close up photos above). An easy reinstatement by a Cobbler, this has been reflected in the price.

Lined in dark chocolate microfibre dispaying general usage, a little darkening around the base area and a light mark, as shown.
