Mulberry Regular Alexa Satchel in Slate Blue Soft Buffalo Leather (Substandard) - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Alexa Satchel in Slate Blue Soft Buffalo Leather with shiny Silver Nickel hardware.

Purchased from Cheshire Oaks Mulberry 15.03.14 as Substandard, (indicated by the 'O' imprinted to the inner oval badge), there's no immediately obvious reason for this classification.

Super supple and slouchy, its crafted from a creasy buffalo hide in a gentle blue shade with grey undertones.

Light to carry, easy to use ...its a bag you'll never need to baby.

Condition - Well Used

Details -

Carried extensively but cared for very well, the leather is sublime. Beautifully softened with oodles of creasy character, it will collapse into a delicious puddle when empty, (so you'll need to add a Felt Liner if you prefer the more upright look).

The top flap is floppily soft, which always looks so lovely on these pieces and the lockplates display the usual light scratching and contact friction rubs with some very minor finish loss around the turnlock hole.

Lots of scratches to the metal clad, strap tip ends.

A couple of extremely light, horizontal, fingernail scratches to the middle of the base and some light scuffing/ colour rubs to the base corners, the remainder of the leather is superb, without marks, stains or wear.

The plait feature top handle is excellent, firm with all inking (edge sealent in place).

The inking around the interior aperture is similarly excellent, without wear or crackling.

The long detachable shoulder strap displays a sit impression across the last hole where the buckle has been set, but the rest is excellent also.

The lined in clean chocolate Mulberry tree repeat fabric with a side zipped security pocket and leather trimmed slip pocket.

The suede lining of the top flap displays discolouration and fading with general flattening to the pile.
