Mulberry Classic Bayswater in Oak Vegetable Tanned Printed Leather - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Classic Bayswater in Oak printed vegetable tanned leather with brass hardware.

 A rich caramel toned 'mock croc' Bayswater....not perfect by a long way but still oh so lovely!

Details -

Crafted from a wonderfully thick and sturdy, dark caramel toned hide, this is what I like to call a 'work-horse' Mulberry.

A strong silhouette with just the right amount of suppleness to sit at your side, its a bag you won't need to baby and will continue to grow even better with age.

Hardware displays lots of character with the Postmans Lock Plate showing a little finish loss around the turnlock hole. Friction rubbing to the underneath plate which has caused finish loss to the upper RH side. The base plate is unaffected. Base feet are scratched with paling to their apex.

Patina across the middle front, a mark to the cloche containg the spring loaded padlock, a burnished strip across the rear LH circumnavigating strap and a small splat of stray inking (edge sealant) to the front handle base, there are light surface scuffs throughout and a couple of hairline scratches to the lower rear, (see photo gallery above).

Corner curves and piping excellent, stitching all in place and inking generally good with a little crackling to the inner sides of the shoulder straps as shown.

Shoulder straps are well shaped though gently softenend with darkening to their tops where they have been hand held.

The inking around the front seam of the top aperture doesn't seem to to have encompassed the suede lining, which can be seen as ruffled at the front, (though all secured) and the interior shows general use with flattening to the pile at the front, wall top.

A blue pen squiggle to the interior, middle rear wall (just below the pocket) and the back panel of the inside pocket has come away along the bottom seam. This doesn't actually affect the bag in anyway as the pocket is double lined, but it has, of course, been reflected in the price.

A delightful and classic Bayswater that looks so much lovelier in the flesh than a listing of its faults make it sound.
