Mulberry Vintage Euston in Chocolate Darwin Leather with Bronze Hardware (Substandard) - SOLD

 This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Vintage Euston in Chocolate Darwin Leather with Bronze Finish Hardware.

A substandard product, this would have been designated a 'second' (as denoted by the 'O' imprinted to the inner label). 

 Now a vintage style, the Euston is a perfectly proportioned, zip top Boston bag with lovely canvas web detailing and hanging luggage tag.

Crafted from a wonderfully solid and robust Darwin hide, its a work horse of a Mulberry that you'll never need to baby. 

Condition -  Well Used

Details -

The leather is stunning. Thick, still stiff and super sturdy...Darwin really was a superior hide to the NVT of today.

A few of the usual light, surface fingernail scratches, there's no real wear to the leather and though the corner curves are slightly lighter and dry, there's no rubbing or scuffs.

A small, curved scratch to the front RH side of the bag, just to the side of the hanging luggage tag.

Handles are well shaped with dry and worn inking (edge sealent) to the inner top areas and handle bases.

All stitching strong and the long, detachable shoulder strap is clean, excepting one very small mark, (see photo above). Light creasing but unrubbed, the camel canvas to the bag is similarly clean and smooth.

The bronze finish D rings to the handle bases and each side of the bag are generally good with a few light scratches but as is so often seen with this finish there is rubbing to the surface of Tree Embossed Rivets throughout.

The interior suede is flattened with use and has developed a darker, shiny appearance in places where the nap has compacted. Some linear black marks to the inside front wall.

There is a large leather slip pocket to the rear wall, (the stitching here is ever so slightly not straight, which may have been the reason it was designated a Sub)

No serial number as is common on pieces made during this era.
